Disclaimer: I find most of my images from tumblr. If they are not credited, it is only because I did NOT FIND a credible source on Tumblr. If it is wrongly credited or not credited, I am sorry! PLEASE let me know if you know the correct source for an image I post EVER: I only want to credit the people whose hard work I admire!

I LOVE these tattoos! I am dying to know who they belong to to. I also love the knuckle tattoos- I assume it says bookworm? Adorable. If anyone knows whose tattoos they are, let me know!

Another mystery girl. What a beautiful Pocahantas!

This is concept work for Pixar's upcoming film called Brave. It is their first princess story, and she looks amazingly tough. I love the wild red hair. Found here on Tumblr.

Another day, another Mary Blair.

Ah! This kills me! Beautiful realistic Ariel. By meirou.

Hello friends! Let's talk about Disney Day. Here are some of my favorite Disney images that I've found on Tumblr.

Beautiful, beautiful video of Claire Keane painting a Tangled mural at Disney. Claire Keane is an artist at Disney, and she is the daughter of the famous Disney artist Glen Keane.

Speaking of, here is a beautiful piece of Rapunzel concept art by Claire herself.

Yui Tohma from Deviantart.

Disney for Art, Princess and the Frog decorated bass. So beautiful.

I hope you enjoyed Disney Day!

positivity + disney day

Photobucket

I chose the name of this blog because 1) it was from Peter Pan, and 2) it had the word "positive". I was a very sad girl in high school, and only in recent years did I make a conscious decision to be more positive and optimistic. Positivity and optimism isn't always easy. It's sometimes a battle to overcome sadness and general gloominess, especially for someone who has battled depression for my whole life. But I'm growing all the time, and I'm learning to dodge sad thoughts and duck behind optimism.

I decided a long time ago that just because I'll grow older does not mean I'll ever grow up, or just because I'll grow up does not mean I'll grow old. On my walk to school, there is graffiti on the sidewalk that says "Be Positive" and reminds me. Sometimes it's a struggle to be happy, but it's worth it.

I feel like by saying I like Disney movies, people might assume I think life is simple, that romance is fated, that defeating a bad guy solves your problems. But I don't think that at all. Even Disney princesses fought for their happiness, albeit without swords (except Mulan!)

Anyway, let's do a brief little disney day!

How perfect is this gif for a post about positivity?

These insanely awesome Macbook decals! I'm dying for the Snow White one!

This is beautiful. I'd love a poster of this.

This photo has been floating around Tumblr. I would LOVE this! Dying. If anyone knows where I could find it, I'd be forever grateful!

Beautiful fanart of Sleeping Beauty & Belle.

I love these interpretations of fairy tales by artist Courtney Brims.

How beautiful is this strange Ariel painting? So awesome. Her eyes are amazing!

Disney has this awesome line of vinyl toys. I collect their Cutesters line, because that seems to be mostly princessy, but I also LOVE Disney villains. I've been thinking about expanding my collection to include Disney villains, and this looks like the perfect way to start! The Ursula one is my favorite- she's my favorite villain!
This necklace is BEAUTIFUL. I love it! I only found it on Tumblr, and here's the only place I found it was on Zappos. Disney Couture is super expensive but beautiful.

I don't know who this girl is, but she's got such a cute little Snow White style.

Cute little fanart for Beauty and the Beast- Belle and the Beast reading a book.

This fanart is actually based off of a coloring book pictures! So beautiful.

disney day

Photobucket

One of my most beloved obsessions is my Disney obsession. It goes hand in hand with my fairy tale obsession, and I collect Disney princess items. On this blog, I'd like to do a simple little feature once a week where I post pretty Disney-related images I find on the Internet. It may have a theme or quotes or musings, and it may not!

I actually named this blog from a lyric from Disney's
Peter Pan. From the song "You Can Fly!", which is, "All it takes is faith and trust/But the thing that's a positive must/Is a little bit of pixie dust." I figured that because of this, Peter Pan deserves to be the theme of my first Disney day!
